This evening, Sir Trevor Macdonald, right, retired as the main anchorman on ITN's flagship, News at 10.30 after 32 years with ITN.

Sir Trevor, is a master of his trade, whose ability to read the news is as if he had personally written it himself. A "news storyteller" and investigative journalist, sadly so rare in modern Britain.
He is continuing with his early evening current affairs programme, Tonight with Trevor MacDonald.
Perhaps Sir Trevor would care to spend some of his newly acquired free time writing a blog, which is undoubtedly the future of newscasting.
Indeed.
