In his London Evening Standard column this week, journalist Will Self right, under the banner headline "Only Time Travel Can Rescue The Lib-Dems", explains that the best leader for the squabbling Lib-Dems would be Gladstone and thus, they need to seek the services of Dr Who and his Tardis, to return to the 1870s.

Not an original idea, Will. Already the subject of two posts on this blog, earlier this autumn, although admittedly, we were suggesting that the Tories, not the Lib-Dims might make use of said Tardis, and our esteemed editor had one or two ideas of his own involving time travel - click on the links below to read more.
